OVERVIEW The Education Officer – Generalist is a full-time, fixed-term role within Toowoomba Catholic Schools, supporting schools across the Diocese through collaborative, system-level educational leadership. Based in Toowoomba with regular travel across the region, the role focuses on strengthening leadership, classroom practice, learning, and wellbeing. This position works closely with principals, teachers, and system leaders to support the effective implementation of curriculum and strategic priorities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Work collaboratively with multiple role-holders and stakeholders across schools and the central office. – Support the implementation of key strategies that enhance leadership, classroom practice, learning, and wellbeing. – Actively support schools with the implementation of the Australian Curriculum. – Provide classroom modelling to demonstrate effective teaching practices. – Offer advice and professional support to schools as determined by the principal in consultation with the Manager: Learning and Innovation. – Travel regularly to schools across the Diocese, including overnight stays as required. REQUIREMENTS – Experience as a secondary teacher with significant knowledge across the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA). – Deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum Version 9. – Ability to translate curriculum knowledge into practical, evidence-informed support for classroom teachers. – Commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment. – Hold, or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland. – Recent classroom experience, which is highly regarded.
