OVERVIEW The WIL Officer role at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) supports the delivery of work-integrated learning placements within the Faculty of Health. Based at Kelvin Grove and offered on an ongoing, full-time basis, this position sits within the Work Integrated Learning Support (WILS) team in the Office of the Deputy Dean. The role combines coordination, administration, and stakeholder engagement to ensure effective placement experiences for students across seven health disciplines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate student placements across the Faculty of Health placement program. – Undertake a broad range of administrative processes related to work-integrated learning. – Liaise with students, academic staff, and industry partners regarding placements. – Provide advice and information to students, staff, and external partners on placement matters. – Support placement operations as part of the Work Integrated Learning Support (WILS) team. REQUIREMENTS – Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. – Demonstrated interpersonal, high-level oral communication and client service skills, including the ability to clearly communicate, consult, negotiate, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. – Demonstrated high-level attention to detail in data entry, document handling, and records management. – Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of tasks efficiently, meet tight deadlines, and work with limited supervision. – Demonstrated written communication skills, including drafting and editing routine correspondence such as letters and emails with clarity and accuracy. – Demonstrated digital literacy skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, work-integrated learning management software, content management systems, and collaboration tools. – Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and Indigenous Australian engagement.
