OVERVIEW UNSW College is seeking a U18 Coordinator to support international students under the age of 18 throughout their educational journey. The role focuses on wellbeing, compliance, accommodation coordination, and student engagement to help students transition successfully into study and campus life. This position works closely with internal teams, families, accommodation providers, and external stakeholders to deliver a positive student experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support international students under 18 from pre-arrival through to completion of studies – Coordinate Under 18 Care Arrangements (CAAW) applications and accommodation approvals – Manage associated administrative processes with internal teams and external stakeholders – Build and maintain relationships with students, families, accommodation providers, education agents, and colleagues – Monitor, report, and respond to student welfare matters and CAAW breaches – Support regular welfare check-ins and escalate issues when required – Ensure compliance with the ESOS Act 2000, National Code 2018, and college policies and procedures – Collaborate with academic and professional teams to achieve organisational objectives – Contribute to student engagement initiatives that support a positive educational experience REQUIREMENTS – Exceptional administrative and organisational skills – Strong problem-solving ability and proactive workload management – Demonstrated knowledge of the ESOS Act 2000 and National Code 2018 – Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, and procedures in practice – Passion for supporting young people and international students under 18 years of age – Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently – Compassionate and solutions-focused approach with sound judgement – Commitment to student safety, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion – Strong time management skills – Working With Children Check or eligibility to apply – Mandarin speaking ability is advantageous but not essential WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role supports the wellbeing, safety, and educational experience of international students studying away from home at a young age.
