OVERVIEW The Engagement Support Officer at Charles Sturt University plays a central role in supporting student recruitment and engagement across Australia, with a strong focus on building relationships with future students, schools, and community partners. Based in Wagga Wagga, this full-time, fixed-term position (until June 2027) sits within a collaborative, values-driven regional university environment. The role combines outreach, coordination, and administrative expertise to help showcase the value of the university experience and strengthen future student pathways. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support high-impact student recruitment and engagement efforts across Australia – Contribute to building and maintaining partnerships with future students, schools, and community partners – Coordinate and support student recruitment, promotional activities, events, and engagement initiatives – Assist with stakeholder engagement, student outreach, and aspiration-building activities to achieve defined objectives and targets – Provide high-level administrative, organisational, and coordination support for engagement initiatives – Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail REQUIREMENTS – Experience supporting stakeholder engagement, student outreach, aspiration, and relationship management activities – Demonstrated experience coordinating and supporting student recruitment, promotional activities, events, or engagement initiatives – Strong communication and interpersonal skills – High-level administrative, organisational, and coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities – Successful production and maintenance of a Working with Children Check in accordance with NSW legislation – Eligibility to work in Australia as an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid work visa appropriate for the position WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role supports access to higher education by helping future students understand their options and pathways into university study, particularly in regional and community-focused contexts.
