OVERVIEW The Senior Boarding Supervisor (Male) is a permanent, full-time leadership role at Albany Residential College in Western Australia, commencing July 2026. This position plays a central role in overseeing the boarding program and supporting the wellbeing, safety, and development of secondary students in a residential setting. It offers the opportunity to lead staff, contribute to college operations, and make a meaningful impact within a close-knit boarding community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Oversee the boarding program, ensuring a safe, secure, caring, and supportive environment for students – Manage, support, and supervise boarding supervisors, including staff training, performance review, and coordination of duties – Deputise for the College Manager when required – Contribute to human resource and administrative functions of the college – Uphold Department of Education policies, duty of care obligations, and professional standards – Coordinate leisure and recreational activities that support student wellbeing and development – Maintain effective communication with students, parents, staff, and other stakeholders – Ensure compliance with record-keeping and reporting requirements – Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging residential environment for all students REQUIREMENTS – Gender requirement: male, as a genuine occupational qualification under the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 – Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights – Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education – Obtain and maintain a current Working with Children Check – Availability to work rostered hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays – Obtain and maintain current First Aid certifications: Provide CPR (HLTAID009) and Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) – Obtain and maintain an LR Class Driver’s Licence with Passenger Transport Driver authorisation – Obtain and maintain Aquatic Rescue for Group III Pool Award (dependent on operational requirements) – Obtain and maintain a Surf Rescue Certificate (dependent on operational requirements) – Obtain a Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC42021) within six months of commencement WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Residential colleges play a vital role in supporting students who live away from home to access education.
