OVERVIEW The Residential Life Coordinator (Programs) at The University of Western Australia plays a central role in shaping the student experience within University Hall, a large and diverse residential college on the Crawley campus. This full-time, fixed-term position focuses on delivering cocurricular programs and pastoral support that enhance student wellbeing, belonging, leadership development, and academic success. Working primarily in the afternoon and evening, the role contributes directly to a vibrant living-learning environment for more than 750 residents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate and deliver a dynamic program of cocurricular activities that support student wellbeing, belonging, leadership, and academic success. – Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive living-learning environment within University Hall. – Provide pastoral care and guidance to a diverse cohort of student residents. – Support student engagement, retention, and overall residential experience. – Build a strong University Hall community through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. – Contribute to maintaining a safe residential environment through active community engagement. REQUIREMENTS – Relevant tertiary qualification. – Experience working with young adults in complex or community-focused environments. – Demonstrated experience coordinating events or programs. – Understanding of student wellbeing and student development needs. – Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups. – High level of organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities. – Ability to work effectively and positively as part of a team. – Willingness and availability to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends. – Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including event setup and community engagement activities. – Ability to meet employment checks related to gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct. – Relevant rights to work in Australia.
