OVERVIEW The Student Engagement Lead (Student Voice & Scholarships) at TAFE Gippsland is a senior coordination role focused on strengthening student participation, belonging, and success across the institute. Based at the Traralgon or Yallourn Campus and working across Gippsland, this fixed-term, full-time position provides leadership in student voice initiatives and the scholarships program. The role connects student feedback with institutional decision-making to enhance student experience and outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide leadership across student voice and scholarships at TAFE Gippsland. – Drive student engagement initiatives, including the Student Advisory Group and the Student Ambassadors program. – Ensure student feedback informs decision-making and contributes to improvements in student experience and outcomes. – Oversee the end-to-end scholarships program, including promotion, applications, selection processes, donor engagement, and reporting. – Build strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners across multiple campuses. – Use data and student feedback to inform continuous improvement. – Contribute to strategies that strengthen student participation, belonging, and success. – Work across campuses, with travel throughout Gippsland as required. REQUIREMENTS – Relevant tertiary qualification in education, community services, social sciences, or a related field. – Experience in student engagement, co-design, program coordination, or community development within an education, community, or similar setting. – Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating programs or initiatives that improve participation, engagement, or equity outcomes. – Strong skills in working with diverse stakeholders and translating student voice and data into practical improvements. – Strong communication, facilitation, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. – Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. – Current Victorian Working with Children Check. – Current Police Check (not older than 12 months). – Current Driver’s Licence.
