OVERVIEW The Curriculum and Accreditation Specialist role at Swinburne University of Technology offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the quality, integrity, and continuous improvement of academic programs. Based at the Hawthorn campus in Melbourne, this full-time ongoing position sits within the Academic Program Innovation (API) unit and reports to the Manager, Curriculum and Accreditation. The role combines curriculum governance, accreditation support, data analysis, and high-level committee administration in a collaborative university environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support end-to-end course accreditation processes and curriculum reporting – Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance activities – Provide secretariat support for academic committees – Advise academic staff on curriculum development, accreditation, and policy requirements – Analyse data and prepare detailed reports and dashboards – Collaborate across teams to deliver responsive, high-quality stakeholder service REQUIREMENTS – Ability to work autonomously, applying sound judgement and problem-solving skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders – Strong data analysis skills, including advanced Excel and reporting capability – Experience working collaboratively within a team environment – Proficiency in the MS Office Suite – Experience in systems such as Student One, Power BI, and databases (highly regarded) – Experience using SQL and Power BI to develop dashboards (desirable) – Knowledge of the higher education sector and tertiary environments – A degree or advanced diploma with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Curriculum quality and accreditation are central to maintaining academic standards, regulatory compliance, and student confidence in higher education qualifications.
