OVERVIEW The Student Administration – System Support Officer is a full-time, ongoing entry-level role within the Student Management Systems team at William Angliss Institute in Melbourne. It is designed for individuals who are interested in developing a career in systems and student administration within an educational environment. The role focuses on providing operational and technical support across student systems, records, and timetabling. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Assist teaching areas and Student Management Officers to effectively use the Student Management System. – Provide a high level of service to internal clients by monitoring, troubleshooting, and responding to system-related enquiries. – Assist the Configuration and Support Officer with system configuration tasks, including creating and maintaining user accounts, course and unit availabilities, templates, and system structures. – Assist the Timetabling Analyst to create and maintain timetabling data within the Student Management System. – Assist the Student Records Team Leader with verification of student results against relevant training packages and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). – Support student records processes, including generating certificates and verifying qualifications. REQUIREMENTS – A degree or diploma in Business/Commerce, Administration, Information Technology, Science, or a similar discipline with little or no relevant work experience, or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience. – Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel. – Experience using student management systems, timetabling systems, or similar administrative systems. – High attention to detail, with the ability to enter data accurately and efficiently, including quality checking, correcting, and working with data in bulk. – Demonstrated ability to problem solve, troubleshoot issues, and prioritise tasks with minimal guidance and support. – High-level customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a diverse range of stakeholders. – Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. – Demonstrated behaviours that align with the values of William Angliss Institute.
