OVERVIEW Mater Education is seeking a Team Leader – Application and Enrolments for a permanent full-time position based at the South Brisbane campus. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role leads the day-to-day operations of the Applications and Enrolments team with a strong focus on student experience, operational efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. The position combines people leadership, workflow management, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration to support students through the application and enrolment journey. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Applications and Enrolments team – Drive exceptional customer service and a student-first culture – Manage daily workflows, priorities and team performance to meet service standards – Oversee application and enrolment processes to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency – Act as the escalation point for complex student enquiries and enrolment matters – Monitor application pipelines and identify opportunities to improve conversion and turnaround times – Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions and training resources – Support compliance, data integrity and regulatory requirements – Work collaboratively with academic, marketing and operational teams to improve the student experience – Support student events such as orientations, open days and recruitment activities REQUIREMENTS – Demonstrated leadership experience leading customer service, admissions, enrolment or administrative teams – Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing workloads – Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills – Experience reviewing and enhancing operational processes with a continuous improvement mindset – High attention to detail and commitment to quality, compliance and data integrity – Experience interpreting policies, procedures and business rules – Ability to analyse performance, solve problems and make sound operational decisions – Tertiary qualifications in Business, Education, Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience – Previous experience in an RTO environment is desirable – Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Application and enrolment teams play a critical role in shaping the student experience from the very first interaction with an institution.
