OVERVIEW Catholic Schools Broken Bay is seeking an experienced Senior School Services Officer for a permanent full-time position at St Joseph Catholic College in East Gosford, NSW. The role is classified at Level 6 under the organisation’s Enterprise Agreement and supports a busy school environment through administration, communication, financial support, and stakeholder engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the day-to-day operations of a busy and dynamic school office – Demonstrate a customer-focused approach when interacting with staff, students, families, and external stakeholders – Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders – Use Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Word, Publisher, and Excel – Work with Google Chrome applications – Apply accounting concepts and principles in administrative and bookkeeping tasks – Understand and work with financial reports – Assist with advertising on social media platforms – Communicate effectively through strong written and verbal communication skills – Work independently while also collaborating within a team environment – Support school operations in alignment with the Catholic ethos of the school – Use systems including TechOne, Receipting, and Compass REQUIREMENTS – Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school – Ability to demonstrate a customer-focused approach – Highly organised with strong attention to detail – Excellent interpersonal skills – Experience working in a busy, dynamic office setting – Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 suite, especially Word, Publisher, and Excel – Experience with Google Chrome applications – Sound knowledge of accounting concepts and principles – Bookkeeping or accounting experience – Ability to understand financial reports – Ability to assist with advertising on social media platforms – Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team – Current First Aid Certificate – Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one – Experience using TechOne, Receipting, and Compass – Application submission including a cover letter addressing the specific criteria and a current resume WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS School services professionals play an important role in ensuring that educational environments operate efficiently and that students, staff, and families receive effective administrative support.
