OVERVIEW The Domestic Student Recruitment Coordinator role at Flinders University is a full-time continuing position focused on engaging and guiding prospective domestic students through their study decision-making journey. Based primarily at the Bedford Park campus in Adelaide, this role sits within the Office of Prospect Management and plays a central part in achieving the University’s domestic recruitment targets. It combines student-facing advising, outreach, and stakeholder relationship management with project coordination and event delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Responding to inquiries from prospective students regarding career options, pathways, course offerings, and entry requirements. – Managing lead generation, nurture, and conversion activities for prospective domestic students. – Undertaking project work to plan, develop, and coordinate new and continuing student recruitment initiatives. – Managing relationships with key stakeholders at schools to build partnerships, deliver workshops, and increase engagement. – Coordinating and participating in domestic student recruitment and career events, including school visits, expos, careers fairs, and university open days. – Coordinating community outreach activities with external organisations to support domestic student recruitment targets. – Travelling between campus locations and recruitment events as required. REQUIREMENTS – Well-developed sales-oriented approach to customer service. – Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. – Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and prospective students at various levels. – Knowledge of university entry requirements and the SATAC application process. – High-level computing skills and experience using a computerised student information system. – Tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education or training. – Current Class C Driver’s Licence. – Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check. – Ability to obtain and maintain a Working With Children Check in accordance with South Australian legislation. – Capacity to work some evenings and weekends and undertake intra- and interstate travel when required.
