OVERVIEW Bendigo Kangan Institute is seeking a part-time Enrolment Officer for the Corrections Education Centre at Fulham Correctional Centre in Victoria. This ongoing onsite role supports the full student administration journey within a correctional education environment, from application and induction through to completion and reporting. The position is suited to a professional who can work accurately, communicate effectively, and contribute to education programs that support rehabilitation and reintegration. The role operates within a structured and collaborative office-based setting with minimal prisoner contact. The successful candidate will work closely with program leaders, teaching staff, and administrative colleagues across correctional sites while receiving support and training from peers and leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Facilitate all aspects of student applications and enrolments – Process admissions, inductions, resulting and grading activities – Prepare statements of results and issue statements of attainment – Maintain accurate student and administrative records – Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards – Provide high-quality data for reporting purposes – Support effective day-to-day operations within the Corrections Education Centre – Collaborate closely with the Director of Corrections, Program Leads, and teaching staff – Respond to client queries using sound judgement and problem-solving skills – Assist leaders with complex issues involving external stakeholders, employers, and students – Contribute to a supportive and team-focused administrative environment REQUIREMENTS – Ability to demonstrate a calm and professional approach to problem-solving – Strong attention to detail and accuracy – Confidence handling external enquiries over the phone – Clear and professional communication skills – Interest in supporting education within a correctional centre environment – Proficiency across support functions such as finance, student records, and payroll – Basic Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting – Valid working rights – Current Working with Children check clearance – Availability for a part-time onsite role, with Friday availability highly preferred WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Corrections education programs play an important role in supporting rehabilitation, skill development, and community reintegration for people in custody.
