OVERVIEW The Industry Engagement Officer at Australian Trade Training College Limited (ATTC) plays a central role in connecting VET in Schools students with real-world employment opportunities in Brisbane, Queensland. This position focuses on building strong industry partnerships that translate training into apprenticeships, work placements, and job outcomes. It is suited to a highly networked professional who enjoys proactive outreach and relationship-driven results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry, and community stakeholders – Secure work placements, apprenticeships, and job opportunities for students – Proactively generate leads and grow employer networks – Represent ATTC at industry events, schools, and networking opportunities – Match students with employers based on skills and workforce needs – Track placements and outcomes, ensuring strong engagement and follow-through – Promote ATTC programs and develop pathways aligned to industry demand REQUIREMENTS – Proven experience in business development, sales, recruitment, or stakeholder engagement – Strong ability to network, influence, and build lasting relationships – Highly proactive with a results-driven mindset – Excellent communication and negotiation skills – Passion for helping people into employment or career pathways – Understanding of apprenticeships, training, or employment sectors (highly regarded) – Eligibility to work in Australia – Current Working with Children Blue Card and National Police Check (required and can be arranged for a suitable candidate) WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Industry engagement roles are critical in ensuring that education programs remain relevant to workforce needs and that students can transition successfully into employment.
