OVERVIEW The Campus Student Support Assistant role at OneSchool Global Australia Ltd is a full-time, permanent position based at the Sydney campus in Oatlands, commencing Term 3, 2026. This role focuses on providing dedicated one-to-one support to a student with complex learning, communication, and behavioural needs, including Autism. Working within a collaborative campus team, the position plays a critical role in supporting the student’s academic engagement, wellbeing, and participation in daily school life. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a student with complex learning needs, communication barriers and behavioural needs, including Autism. – Work closely with the Learning Support Teacher and campus team to implement structured strategies that support academic, social and emotional development. – Assist the student to engage in classroom activities and school routines, including participation in learning, transitions and daily tasks. – Implement individualised learning and behaviour support strategies, including visual supports, structured routines and communication tools. – Provide personal care support where required, ensuring the student’s dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times. – Support the use of communication systems such as AAC, visual schedules and other tools to assist expressive and receptive language. – Reinforce self-regulation strategies, including programs such as Zones of Regulation and other evidence-based supports. – Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Learning Support Teacher and campus staff regarding the student’s support plan. – Contribute to a calm, predictable and supportive learning environment for the student. REQUIREMENTS – Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or an equivalent qualification. – Demonstrated experience supporting students with complex needs across a range of disabilities, including Autism, communication barriers and additional learning needs. – Experience providing one-to-one support, ideally within a specialised or inclusive educational setting. – Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and campus staff to implement structured and consistent support strategies. – Capacity to maintain dignity, respect and confidentiality when supporting students. – A current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
