OVERVIEW The Placement Coordinator (Educational & Developmental Psychology) at Australian Catholic University (ACU) supports the teaching and management of the Master of Psychology (Educational & Developmental) program in Melbourne. This part-time position involves coordinating professional practicum activities, supporting student learning engagement, and maintaining relationships with university and external stakeholders. The role is based at the Melbourne campus with some hybrid work flexibility and sits within the School of Behavioural & Health Sciences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Contribute to the ongoing teaching and management of professional practicum in the discipline of Psychology for students in the Master of Psychology (Educational & Developmental) program – Maintain and build relationships with faculty, university stakeholders, and external providers – Develop pathways for the practicum requirements of postgraduate Psychology students – Manage effective administration of professional practicums – Support student engagement with learning activities – Provide supervision of postgraduate clinical practice in the Melbourne Psychology Clinic – Provide supervision of students on external placements – Contribute to academic and administrative activities within the national School of Behavioural & Health Sciences REQUIREMENTS – Hold Australian work rights to apply for the position – For permanent or continuing roles, applicants must have permanent work rights – Complete mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks, including checks related to gender-based violence and foreign interference – Hold a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) where required – Submit a resume as part of the application – Provide responses to the Selection Criteria and Core Competencies in a cover letter (maximum two pages) or through the online application page – Complete brief online responses to pre-screening employment questions WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role supports the professional development of postgraduate psychology students by ensuring quality practicum experiences and effective supervision opportunities.
