OVERVIEW The Student Services Manager at the National Art School in Darlinghurst, Sydney NSW leads the Student Services Team and oversees the full student lifecycle, from application and enrolment through to graduation. The role supports the delivery of high-quality student administration services within a leading independent art school offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs accredited through TEQSA. This position works collaboratively across the institution to maintain student data integrity, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to a positive and student-centred experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead and manage the Student Services Team – Oversee the entire student lifecycle from application and enrolment to graduation – Deliver high-quality student administration services – Provide expert advice on enrolment, fees, and academic policies – Manage student records and administrative processes – Collaborate across the School to improve systems and procedures – Maintain the integrity of student data – Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements – Foster a positive, efficient, and student-centred experience – Support equity, inclusion, student wellbeing, engagement, and success – Manage Student Information Systems, including reporting and system configuration – Drive continuous improvement initiatives within student services operations REQUIREMENTS – Experience as a student services professional in higher education administration – Proven leadership capability and experience managing and developing a team – Strong understanding of the student journey from application through graduation – Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills – Commitment to student-centred service, equity, and inclusion – Substantial experience using Student Information Systems – Ability to manage data integrity, reporting, and process improvement – Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and government reporting requirements – Strong attention to detail – Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment – Ability to make informed decisions using sound judgement and initiative – Capacity to foster a supportive, culturally safe, and inclusive environment – Academic qualifications and professional experience relevant to the role WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student services functions are central to the student experience in higher education institutions.
