OVERVIEW The Coordinator, Training Services role at the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) supports the administration and delivery of specialist training programs for emergency medicine trainees across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Based in West Melbourne, this part-time, fixed-term position provides parental leave cover through to July 2027 and operates within a hybrid working environment. The role sits within the Specialist Training Programs Unit and combines leadership, data management, and stakeholder engagement responsibilities in a purpose-driven professional college. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead the administration and customer service functions that support emergency medicine trainees from selection into training through to Fellowship. – Coordinate assessment, progression, and training-related processes that are critical to the integrity of specialist training programs. – Maintain accurate and reliable trainee data to support decision-making and regulatory requirements. – Provide expert advice and high-quality support to stakeholders including trainees, senior clinicians, and committee members. – Lead, motivate, and manage an administrative team, including performance management and professional development. – Prepare policies, reports, and professional communications related to training services. – Contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of administrative systems and processes. REQUIREMENTS – Relevant experience in a training, education, or regulatory/compliance environment. – Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing administrative team. – Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex workflows, competing priorities, and high levels of accuracy. – Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills. – Experience preparing policies, reports, and other professional documentation. – Strong data analysis capability, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. – A continuous improvement mindset, with experience enhancing systems and processes. – Right to work in Australia.
