OVERVIEW OneSchool Global Australia Ltd is seeking a full-time, permanent Campus Student Support Assistant for its Nambour campus on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The role focuses on supporting students with communication and learning needs to participate fully in classroom and educational activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Learning Support Teacher and contribute to a safe, respectful, and student-centred learning environment. The Nambour campus offers technology-enabled learning spaces, small school communities, and a wellbeing-focused culture. Lessons are delivered through both Zoom and face-to-face formats, with strong IT support and modern campus facilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Work under the direction of the Learning Support Teacher to provide consistency and reinforcement of support strategies. – Demonstrate a strong commitment to dignity, respect, and unconditional positive regard in all student interactions. – Adapt support across academic, social, and self-care contexts. – Participate in professional learning and training in programs and strategies such as Zones of Regulation and structured literacy. – Provide reliable organisational support to assist the Learning Support Teacher with planning and release time. – Deliver respectful personal care support tailored to student needs while following student care plans. – Maintain confidentiality and uphold student dignity at all times. – Use communication supports including AAC, visuals, and strategies for expressive and receptive language. – Support students in classroom and education activities to enable full participation. REQUIREMENTS – Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support. – Relevant experience in education support. – Experience working one-to-one with a student with communication and learning needs. – Ability to work collaboratively under direction. – Flexibility in supporting students across different contexts. – Strong organisational and reliability skills. – Understanding of AAC, visuals, and communication support strategies. – Commitment to student wellbeing, dignity, and confidentiality. – Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Blue Card.
