The Faculty is seeking interest from experienced and suitably qualified Primary and Secondary teachers to undertake a range of casual academic opportunities that will enhance the overall student experience. Previous tertiary experience would be desirable but not essential. Areas of particular interest include: Educational Philosophy and Sociology Educational Psychology English Humanities Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE) Inclusion, Development and Diversity Indigenous Education Mathematics Professional Experience placement supervision Teaching Practice A combination of these areas of interest is welcome, but should be aligned with the applicant’s qualifications. You will be required to undertake a range of duties within our programs, with a primary focus on marking, tutorials, and student contact. All casual positions have a degree of administrative duties. What you will bring You must hold an initial teacher education qualification, supported by relevant professional experience, with a demonstrated ability to maximise student learning outcomes and the student experience. You are a passionate and engaged teacher in Primary or Secondary school settings, with a strong working knowledge of contemporary teaching approaches and practices. You are willing to share your knowledge and expertise with future teachers and leaders to promote excellence in this field of education. Applicants will have: An Initial Teacher Education degree, and recent relevant professional experience. Ideally you will have a postgraduate level qualification (Masters or PhD) in Education. A Working with Children Check (WWCC)/Blue Card, or other state-based equivalent may also be required; A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Expertise in the planning and delivery of effective programs of learning and in meeting the needs of the diverse range of students in today’s schools Reliable, effective communication with colleagues and students, and ability to
