OVERVIEW EEVS QLD T/A Expert Education and Visa Services is seeking a part-time Education Counsellor in Brisbane, Australia. The organisation operates across more than 40 cities in 16 countries and provides education and visa consultation services to international students. This role is suited to multilingual candidates, particularly Filipino, Korean, or Taiwanese speakers, who are interested in supporting international students with study pathways and application processes in Australia. The position combines student counselling, application processing, community engagement, and marketing activities. Candidates with strong communication skills, social media engagement experience, and an interest in international education are encouraged to apply. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Proactively seek potential clients through referrals, social media, and community engagement – Counsel students by identifying their needs and helping them select suitable study options – Process applications for international students across ELICOS, VET, college, and university sectors – Maintain accurate and comprehensive student application records within the CRM system – Communicate with partner institutions to follow up on student applications and enquiries – Attend professional training sessions and industry events organised by institutions or the company – Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates on application progress to management – Collaborate with colleagues to promote the company brand to international students – Support ad-hoc duties and participate in additional opportunities as required – Demonstrate understanding of the Australian student visa system – Understand admission processes for English schools, VET colleges, and universities in Australia – Prepare, organise, and attend marketing and social events related to education and visa services – Create TikTok videos, reels, and blog content aimed at helping international students REQUIREMENTS – Multilingual ability preferred, particularly Filipino, Korean, or Taiwanese language skills – Ideally in the final year of a degree program – Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team – Interest in building a long-term career as an education counsellor – Professional attitude with strong motivation and work ethic – Willingness to participate in a variety of activities and responsibilities – Experience in customer service, sales, or an education agency is desirable but not mandatory – Connection to the local community within the target market – Strong attention to detail when managing applications and documentation – Interest and confidence in creating social media content such as TikTok videos and reels – Understanding of the Australian student visa system and admissions processes – Legal right to work in Australia WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Education counsellors play an important role in helping international students navigate study options, admissions processes, and visa-related requirements.
