OVERVIEW The International Student Counsellor and Migration Agent Assistant role at Think Higher is a full-time position based in Melbourne, Victoria, within a professional legal and education services environment. This role supports both education counselling and migration services, working with international and domestic clients from diverse backgrounds. As part of the Legal Practice team, the position contributes directly to high-quality client outcomes and the ongoing success of the organisation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Providing comprehensive educational and migration counselling to international and domestic clients – Assisting with the preparation and submission of visa applications – Conducting research and analysis to stay up to date with changes in education and migration regulations – Liaising with educational institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders – Maintaining detailed client records and documentation – Contributing to the development of internal processes and resources – Collaborating with the wider Legal Practice team on special projects – Assisting migration agents with preparing Skills Assessments, State Sponsorships, and other relevant applications REQUIREMENTS – Experience in an education counselling or migration assistant role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment – Strong understanding of Australian education and visa application processes – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients – Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously – Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach – Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International education and migration pathways can be complex, regulated, and high-stakes for students and professionals seeking opportunities in Australia.
