The role of Senior Education Officer Capability – Consent and Respectful Relationship Education (SEOC CRRE) is offered on a full-time temporary basis, until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined. The successful candidate will be employed at the classification listed on the attached role description under EOSD provisions. A key function of the Capability branch is the Education Futures Institute (EFI) that delivers high-quality, targeted and evidence-informed capability development for a multi-disciplinary workforce. About the role: Are you passionate about ensuring high quality, consistent consent and respectful relationships education for students in Queensland state schools? Are you experienced with using curriculum to plan and implement capability development for system leaders, school leaders and teachers? As a SEOC CRRE you will play an important role in leading and coordinating the delivery of high-quality professional learning at the North Queensland Region. Key functions of this role include: Deliver consent and respectful relationship education aligned to school improvement priorities and performance planning. Plan and deliver effective and differentiated pedagogical approaches appropriate to consent and respectful relationships education aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9, particularly the health and physical education curriculum. Communicate with parents and the wider school community, including building support for schools’ chosen approaches to implement consent and respectful relationships education. The SEOC CRRE reports to the Director Capability, Education Futures Institute North Queensland Region. The ideal applicants are individuals who demonstrate: Designing, delivering and monitoring strategies to help school leaders plan and implement effective consent and respectful relationships education in schools. This includes facilitating change and providing training and support for system and school leaders, teachers and other school staff, both in-person and online, in groups and individually, to ensure effective school-wide implementation of consent and respectful relationships education. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide professional development, guidance and support to school leaders and teachers on respectful relationships education delivery aligned to statewide frameworks, procedures and processes, and the required curriculum for all students.
