OVERVIEW The Officer, Admissions role at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) supports the effective, compliant administration of student admissions across a wide range of domestic and onshore international programs. Positioned within the Admissions Team in the Future Learners function, this role contributes directly to university load planning targets while delivering high-quality operational and customer service outcomes. UTS is recruiting two full-time Officers, with one fixed-term appointment of one year and one continuing role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide accurate, timely, client-focused advice to internal and external stakeholders via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions – Respond to enquiries using admissions policies and procedures, including identifying matters that require escalation – Process applications and supporting documentation for admissions within designated turnaround times – Assess eligibility for admission to UTS courses, including evaluation of academic qualifications – Assess English language proficiency in line with admissions requirements – Support the Student Management team to ensure effective and compliant administration of admissions activities REQUIREMENTS – Demonstrated commitment to customer service and the ability to deliver high-quality, client-focused services – Commitment to providing accurate and timely information – Demonstrated ability to use technology with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including the ability to troubleshoot problems – Ability to sustain concentration in a high-volume processing environment to ensure accuracy – Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills – Current and valid work rights in Australia WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Admissions functions are critical to ensuring students have a smooth, transparent, and compliant entry into higher education.
