OVERVIEW IDP Education is seeking an Education Counsellor in Brisbane to support international students throughout their study journey. The role focuses on providing guidance on study opportunities, assisting with applications and enrolments, and promoting student services and products. This position combines customer service, education counselling, sales performance, and collaboration with education providers in a fast-paced international education environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage and achieve pipeline and sales targets by guiding prospective international students through each stage of the education journey. – Promote student products and services and maintain and progress leads effectively. – Support successful application submissions and enrolment processes. – Deliver high-quality customer service to students, families, and education partners. – Provide information on study programs, admission requirements, visa procedures, and local education systems. – Build rapport with international students and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. – Participate in marketing and engagement activities to generate leads and increase brand visibility. – Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for pipeline management. – Collaborate with internal teams and external education providers to streamline application processes. – Resolve student enquiries efficiently to support a smooth enrolment experience. – Identify opportunities for referrals and repeat business. – Assist students with application documentation and education counselling services. – Promote IDP products and services while supporting student decision-making. REQUIREMENTS – Experience in a customer-focused sales or service environment. – Demonstrated achievement of individual and team targets in a competitive setting. – Understanding of the education sector, including placement into VET institutions and universities. – Knowledge of immigration regulations and student application procedures. – Tertiary qualifications related to education counselling, student services, or a related field. – Prior professional experience in education counselling or similar roles. – Strong interpersonal and communication skills. – Fluency in spoken and written English. – Ability to communicate effectively with diverse international student populations and education stakeholders. – Additional language skills, particularly Hindi, Punjabi, or another second language, are highly desirable. – Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. – Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic multicultural environment.
