OVERVIEW The International Student Coordinator role at Box Hill Institute supports the delivery of high-quality monitoring and administrative services for international students. This full-time, fixed-term position plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and a positive student experience across a diverse international cohort. The role sits within international monitoring operations and contributes to continuous improvement and operational excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate and maintain accurate international student data, including enrolment, attendance, course progression, and tuition payments – Support compliance monitoring activities aligned with regulatory requirements and quality standards – Provide high-level administrative support, including preparation of reports, documentation, and correspondence – Assist with student intake processes, including admissions, enrolment, and orientation activities – Monitor key performance metrics such as retention, attendance, and completion rates – Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including education agents and extended campuses – Support the delivery of international student events such as orientations and study tours – Provide accurate advice and responsive customer service to students and stakeholders REQUIREMENTS – Degree qualification in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience – Minimum of three years’ experience supporting international student monitoring or similar operational functions – Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail – Experience providing administrative support in a complex or compliance-driven environment – Strong understanding of regulatory requirements relating to international students – Proficiency in administrative and financial systems, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills – Demonstrated ability to analyse data and support informed decision-making – Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills – Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service – Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with diverse communities – Alignment with a child-safe, inclusive, and values-based workplace – Current or willingness to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International Student Coordinators play a critical role in maintaining institutional compliance while safeguarding the academic progress and wellbeing of international students.
