Admissions Officer (In-Office, Sydney CBD) Package: $70,000 to $75,000 + Super, depending on experience Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Sydney CBD, in-office About Us: We are a growing Private Higher Education and VET provider expanding our onshore and offshore student recruitment activity. We are building a high-performance culture and are seeking a sharp, compliance-focused Admissions Officer to join our Sydney team. This is a high-volume role requiring fast execution, strong attention to detail, sound admissions judgement and a strong sense of ownership. Key Responsibilities: Assess onshore and offshore student applications efficiently against approved admissions criteria, course entry requirements, English language requirements, Genuine Student requirements and provider risk settings. Prepare and issue offer letters, conditional offers, acceptance documentation and related admissions correspondence using approved templates and delegations. Verify applicant documentation, including academic records, English evidence, identity documents, visa history and supporting documents, escalating suspected fraud, inconsistencies or high-risk applications. Confirm acceptance documentation, tuition deposits, fee arrangements and required pre-CoE checks before CoE creation. Process enrolments and issue CoEs via PRISMS within strict internal turnaround times, including CoE variations and cancellations where required. Use Meshed and PRISMS accurately to maintain applicant, enrolment and student records. Manage agent and student inquiries directly, working closely with the sales team while maintaining admissions integrity and compliance requirements. Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready admissions records and student files in line with the ESOS Framework, National Code 2018, CRICOS obligations, TEQSA Standards, ASQA requirements and internal policies. Identify applications involving credit transfer, RPL or articulation arrangements and coordinate with academic staff or authorised delegates as required. Monitor agent documentation quality, applicant risk indicators and pipeline bottlenecks, escalating issues promptly to senior management. Handle sensitive applicant information in accordance with privacy, confidentiality and records management requirements. Requirements: Minimum 1 to 2 years of direct experience in Admissions within the Australian international education sector, preferably across VET or Higher Education. Proven hands-on experience using PRISMS and Student Management Systems, with Meshed experience highly regarded. Strong working knowledge of the ESOS Framework, National Code 2018, CRICOS requirements and Australian international student admissions processes. Demonstrated ability to assess applicant risk, document authenticity concerns and Genuine Student indicators. High accuracy in data entry, records management and compliance documentation. Strong organisational drive, with the ability to manage a high-volume admissions pipeline without dropping balls. Clear, professional communication skills to manage student and agent inquiries effectively. Ability to work effectively with sales teams while maintaining independent admissions judgement and compliance standards. Must be based in Sydney and fully able to work full-time from the Sydney CBD office. What We Offer: A competitive salary package of $70,000 to $75,000 + Super, depending on experience.
