OVERVIEW The Careers Education and Engagement Coordinator at The Australian National University (ANU) plays a pivotal role in strengthening the connection between curriculum, careers education and employer engagement. Positioned within the ANU Careers and Employability team, this continuing, full-time role focuses on delivering industry-informed initiatives that enhance student employability across the entire student lifecycle. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate and deliver careers education and employer engagement initiatives across the University – Work closely with academics, professional staff, employers, alumni and students to support high-quality, industry-informed career programs – Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new employers and industry partners – Support the design and delivery of curriculum-embedded and stand-alone careers services for students and recent graduates – Manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously to ensure effective delivery of strategic initiatives – Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of careers education and employability programs – Promote Careers and Employability activities internally and externally – Contribute to university-wide projects and events related to careers and employability REQUIREMENTS – Demonstrated experience in project management – Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills – Ability to work effectively with academics, employers, professional staff and students – Capacity to manage a range of activities at the same time – Confidence in coordinating strategic projects and initiatives – Right to live and work in Australia WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role directly supports ANU’s strategic commitment to student employability and future-ready graduates by integrating careers education and employer engagement into the student experience.
