OVERVIEW Mannix College in Clayton, Melbourne VIC is seeking an Academic Support Coordinator for a short-term parental leave cover contract running from 1 September to 13 November 2026. This flexible opportunity is available on a part-time or full-time basis and focuses on supporting students as they navigate academic life at Monash University. The role combines academic coaching, student engagement, program coordination, and proactive student support within a residential college environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students to strengthen academic skills, improve study planning, and connect with university support services where needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Hold regular one-on-one advising sessions to guide students on study planning, university navigation, and assessment strategies. – Support students in developing academic success skills such as time management, exam preparation, essay structuring, notetaking, referencing, and academic integrity. – Manage the Academic Support Program, including peer learning initiatives and weekly StudyFest coordination. – Potentially deliver workshops focused on study skills, employability, leadership, and scholarships. – Support the Dean of Students in monitoring academic performance and identifying at-risk students. – Help design proactive support plans for students requiring additional academic assistance. – Maintain active relationships with Monash University support services including Monash Connect, Academic Skills, Counselling, and Disability Support. – Refer students to appropriate university services when required. – Maintain a visible and approachable presence within the college community.
