OVERVIEW The Activities Coordinator role with Young Engineers Central Queensland focuses on delivering engaging, hands-on STEM learning experiences for school-aged children through LEGO-based workshops. This is a casual, community-facing position suited to individuals who enjoy working with young people and supporting early interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The role operates across schools and events in the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast region and includes full training. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Engage with school children in educational LEGO-based activities. – Deliver activities during after-school sessions (3pm–5pm), school incursions (9am–3pm), special events, and school holiday programs (9am–3pm). – Build LEGO models that include simple motors and batteries. – Demonstrate fun and interactive experiments using LEGO models. – Manage classroom attendance. – Take photos of students’ achievements during activities. REQUIREMENTS – Valid Blue Card. – Completion of high school. – Current driver’s license. – Ability to learn quickly. – High levels of energy.
