The Shared Services teamwork with and service both ALG and Ikon. About the role The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering sales/enrolment targets for international student recruitment for EDU (and its subsidiaries). This is achieved through establishing, maintaining and monitoring a network of quality agent partners onshore and offshore, and as required engaging directly with prospective students. The Sales Manager will work closely with the admissions and student experience teams in EDU’s subsidiary businesses to ensure the smooth operation of student recruitment activities, and careful management of their provider risk ratings through minimising visa rejections. This role operates in a high-volume environment that focuses on meeting expected student recruitment / enrolment targets. The successful applicant may be required to work outside of normal working hours to attend events or meet required deadlines. Interstate and overseas travel may be required. About you You are a passionate ‘people person’ with experience in the international student market (ideally in both VET and HE). You can initiate and manage business relationships across a diverse group of cultures, to work well in a team, as well as autonomously. You have effective communication and presentation skills and pride yourself on delivering excellent customer service to both external and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Sales Management Own and deliver individual, regional and campus-specific international student recruitment/enrolment sales targets for EDU and its subsidiaries, and work collaboratively with the team towards achievement of group targets Accurately forecast sales results, working closely with the Director, International Growth and DX Drive sales programs and processes to increase sales conversion for the international market segment Focus on the conversion of pipeline from enquiry/application to enrolment Account Management Manage and coordinate education agent partners including identification of new agents and establishment and maintenance of agreement and incentive arrangements Contribute to the agent marketing program, including marketing to and with agents Ensure agent management is conducted in accordance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements Problem-solving with agents and students as required Marketing Support Contribute to the development and implementation of EDU’s (and its subsidiaries) strategic international student marketing and recruitment plan Evaluate and report on international market opportunities for EDU’s product portfolio Be the expert for the state and regional international student market, ensuring EDU maximises opportunities for revenue growth in the segment Contribute to the development and execution of international student marketing campaigns, working closely with the EDU brand marketing teams and the Director, International Growth and DX Adhere to, monitor and report on budgets as required Compliance Ensure all practices remain aligned to relevant policies and regulatory requirements Participate in relevant industry and regulator workshops on compliance and regulation as required Participate in internal and external compliance and quality assurance activities as required Ensure students recruited via agents or direct meet the Genuine Temporary Entrant and relevant student visa requirements Financial Assist the finance team as required in following up with agents and student concerning unpaid fees Qualifications and Experience: Experience in the international student market is mandatory Minimum 5 years’ sales and marketing experience overall, preferably in international student recruitment Experience in developing and implementing marketing and sales plans, and in account management Business and/or marketing qualifications preferred Positive attitude and ability to think creatively and bring innovation to EDU and its subsidiaries Cross cultural awareness What makes working with us exciting: Paid birthday leave Work-life balance Training and development opportunities Job rotation and career progression A positive culture and fun team Diversity & Inclusion We celebrate our diversity and strive to reflect contemporary Australian society in order to better serve our students.
