We are looking to hire an experienced Research Associate to play a pivotal role in the ZAMSA-TB Project, a significant Wellcome-funded Discovery Award focused on developing new epidemiological methods to analyze tuberculosis transmission in Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia. Candidates should have expertise in infectious disease epidemiology, spatiotemporal modeling, and global health.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Professor Peter MacPherson at the School of Health & Wellbeing, as well as with partners from the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Programme, ZAMBART in Zambia, and the University of Cape Town. The role involves contributing to the development and submission of research protocols, publications, policy briefs, and research proposals. Additionally, the Research Associate will assist in managing and directing the project, working alongside partner organizations wherever feasible. International travel to collaborate with research partners is expected.
Career support and training will be provided through the Athena Swan Gold-accredited School of Health and Wellbeing. The role also involves participation in academic activities within the Public Health Section.
