Sheffield Hallam University
Sheffield Hallam University is seeking experienced and creative individuals to join their growing student recruitment team. These individuals will work as part of the Student Recruitment Engagement Coordinator team, responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with schools and colleges in target regions across the country. The goal of this team is to support the university’s recruitment objectives in both the short and long term. As a Student Recruitment Engagement Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver engagement activities in schools, colleges, and occasionally within the university itself. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to maintain and expand the university’s engagement with targeted feeder institutions. To achieve these goals, you will collaborate with colleagues from various departments within the university, such as Marketing, Customer Insight, Admissions, Student Access, and Educational Partnership Team, to develop innovative and effective offerings for schools and colleges. Successful applicants for this position will demonstrate a commitment to raising awareness and aspirations among prospective students and key influencers, particularly for Sheffield Hallam University. This will involve working with teachers, advisors, parents, carers, and student groups. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to speak to both small and large groups of students, as well as senior staff from schools and colleges. This role is primarily home-based but will require travel and work within the M1/A1 corridor in East Midlands South, including Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, and Cambridgeshire. Additionally, you will be expected to visit Sheffield Hallam University Campus at least once a month and participate in other events as required. These events may include Open Days, Clearing, and other engagements related to student recruitment. On a typical week, you will spend a minimum of 3 or 4 days attending events and delivering engagement activities in schools and colleges within the allocated region. These events can be located up to 100+ miles away from Sheffield Hallam and may take place at various times throughout the day, including evenings and occasional weekends. You must be able to independently travel throughout the region and transport materials for engagement activities. Please note that if you are offered this position, you will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. While a criminal record does not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University, its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed
