OVERVIEW The International Immigration Specialist role at Penn State Global supports the university’s international mission by providing immigration compliance advisement for faculty, staff, and scholars. Based within International Student & Scholar Advising, this position focuses on employment-based immigration processes and regulatory guidance. The role collaborates closely with academic and administrative partners to ensure consistent, compliant support for the international community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide immigration compliance advisement and support for international faculty, staff, and scholars – Manage employment-based immigration and visa processing – Interpret and communicate regulatory guidance related to immigration compliance – Deliver training related to immigration requirements and processes – Collaborate with Human Resources and academic units – Support university-wide compliance with U.S. immigration laws – Deliver high-quality service to international employees and university stakeholders REQUIREMENTS – WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Immigration compliance is essential to a university’s ability to recruit, employ, and retain international faculty and scholars.
