OVERVIEW The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine is hiring a Global Programs Coordinator to support the management and daily operations of select global programs within the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. This temporary, full-time position is based on the Columbus campus and supports initiatives related to global veterinary education, capacity building, and international engagement. The role combines administrative coordination, communications, project support, and collaboration with university and international partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Assist with management and daily operations of select global programs, including the Global Engagement Program – Support activities connected to an extramurally funded award related to global veterinary education and capacity building – Provide administrative assistance for program operations – Coordinate travel arrangements and event planning – Complete expense reporting tasks – Receive, track, and submit invoices – Ensure compliance with university and sponsor standards – Prepare written materials including technical reports, bulletins, press releases, and annual reports – Develop audiovisual materials such as PowerPoint presentations and online content – Manage inventory for project supplies – Schedule meetings and coordinate communications with university and external partners – Support data management activities – Work closely with faculty investigators, staff, and students to facilitate program activities – Coordinate with government entities and international partners to support activities abroad REQUIREMENTS – High School diploma or GED – Four years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience – Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel – Strong written and oral communication skills – High attention to detail and accuracy – Strong project management and time management skills – Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time – Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, education, health sciences, international affairs, or a related discipline preferred – Previous experience in a higher education or university setting preferred – Experience using Workday preferred – Experience writing in a science-based field preferred – Experience with international programs administration preferred – Cultural competency preferred – Interest or experience in website editing and/or graphic design preferred WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Global programs in higher education rely on strong operational coordination to maintain partnerships, manage funding requirements, and support educational initiatives across borders.
