OVERVIEW The International Student Support & Engagement Specialist at Madison College plays a central role in guiding international students throughout their academic journey, from pre-arrival through post-completion. Based at the Truax Campus, this limited term position sits within the Center for International Education and combines immigration advising, student services, and cross-cultural engagement. The role is designed for professionals who enjoy working directly with students while also navigating regulatory and institutional processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) providing F-1 visa advising and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. – Manage international admissions processes for prospective and incoming students. – Develop and implement cross-cultural programming that supports engagement and global citizenship. – Provide international student case management support across academic, personal, and immigration-related needs. – Support students before arrival, during enrollment, and after program completion. – Collaborate with campus departments and community partners to enhance services for international students. – Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through programming, advising, and institutional collaboration.
