King’s College London is seeking an Interim Director for the Afe Babalola Centre for Transnational Education (ABC), a values-driven programme focused on expanding access to high-quality education and building equitable partnerships across Africa and beyond. The role provides strategic leadership as the Centre moves from start-up into piloting, consolidation and scale. The postholder will manage sensitive relationships with funders, senior institutional partners, governments and multilateral bodies; lead a distributed team of academic and professional colleagues; maintain delivery against the Centre’s strategy and philanthropic gift implementation plan; oversee communications and community development; and manage risk during transition to scaled delivery. Candidates should have strong experience managing complex multi-country programmes, senior stakeholder engagement, diplomacy, negotiation, partnership agreements, distributed teams and philanthropic programmes with large budgets. This is a full-time role with an initial fixed-term contract of 3 months, with possible extension up to 12 months.
