OVERVIEW The Assistant Dean of Admissions, International at Wake Forest University plays a key role in advancing the institution’s undergraduate enrollment goals through focused international recruitment. This position centers on building relationships with prospective students, families, schools, and partners across assigned global territories. The role combines strategic territory management with hands-on admissions work, including outreach, evaluation, and campus collaboration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Recruit and enroll international students from designated geographic territories in alignment with university enrollment objectives – Conduct international travel to represent the university and engage directly with prospective students, families, and educational partners – Build and maintain relationships with secondary schools, counselors, and other international education stakeholders – Serve as a member of the admissions committee, contributing to selection and enrollment decisions – Review applications from international applicants and participate in the holistic evaluation process – Conduct interviews with prospective students as part of the admissions process – Lead and participate in information sessions for students, families, and counselors, both in person and virtually – Manage assigned recruitment territories, including planning outreach strategies and monitoring engagement – Collaborate with campus colleagues and international partners to support recruitment and enrollment initiatives – Support international enrollment strategy through data-informed outreach and sustained engagement efforts REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International students contribute significantly to the academic, cultural, and global mission of universities, and this role directly supports that impact.
