OVERVIEW The Director of Career Services at the Penn State School of International Affairs serves as the primary career adviser for graduate students pursuing international affairs and global programs. This role focuses on guiding students through career exploration, professional development, and experiential learning aligned with global career paths. The position is based primarily at University Park, Pennsylvania, with a hybrid work structure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Serve as the primary career adviser to graduate students in international affairs and global programs – Provide career advising tailored to international and globally focused career pathways – Design and deliver career events and professional development programming – Build and maintain networks with employers and alumni – Manage international internship programs – Support education abroad processes – Manage data related to student placements and internships REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Career outcomes are a critical component of graduate education in international affairs, where students often pursue complex and globally dispersed career paths.
