OVERVIEW Marist University is seeking an Assistant Director, International Student Services to support international students through advising, counselling, immigration guidance, and intercultural engagement initiatives. This position plays an important role in delivering services that help students transition successfully to university life and connect with the broader campus community. The role includes responsibility for planning and coordinating the international orientation program twice each year. The assistant director also works closely with the director to strengthen international and intercultural programming at marist through co-curricular events and activities designed to encourage learning, connection, and community engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support counselling and advising services for international students – Provide immigration support related to F and J regulations – Deliver intercultural support for student success and engagement – Plan, coordinate, and administer the international orientation program twice per year – Support the director of International Student Services in advancing internationalization efforts at marist – Develop and deliver international and intercultural co-curricular events and activities – Create opportunities for people to share, learn, and connect through campus programming REQUIREMENTS – Experience or ability to support counselling and advising for international students – Knowledge of immigration support related to F and J processes – Ability to coordinate and administer orientation programming – Ability to support intercultural engagement and programming – Capacity to collaborate with the director on international services and initiatives WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International Student Services professionals contribute directly to the student experience by helping international students navigate academic, cultural, and immigration-related transitions.
