OVERVIEW The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) and Shared Services Coordinator at Lehigh University supports international students and scholars through advising, compliance, and engagement work within the Office of International Affairs. This role combines student-facing immigration support with behind-the-scenes administrative coordination. It is positioned at the intersection of federal regulatory compliance, student experience, and cross-departmental operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide direct advising, operational, and engagement support to international students and scholars – Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) – Ensure compliance with federal immigration regulations – Maintain accurate and up-to-date SEVIS records – Support international student programming – Contribute to shared administrative services across Office of International Affairs departments REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International students and scholars rely on accurate immigration advising and timely institutional support to maintain their legal status and fully participate in university life.
