OVERVIEW The Language Specialist role within the International Center for Academic and Professional English (ICAPE) at Lehigh University focuses on supporting international students’ academic and professional communication needs. Housed in the Office of International Affairs, this position combines English language instruction, assessment, advising, and program support. The role contributes directly to Lehigh University’s broader internationalization efforts by strengthening language access and academic readiness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Teach English language courses and workshops for international students. – Administer English proficiency assessments. – Develop English proficiency assessments. – Advise international students on language-related academic and professional needs. – Support English language programs within ICAPE. – Contribute to the university’s internationalization efforts.
