OVERVIEW The International Student Recruiter at Montana State University plays a central role in advancing the institution’s global enrollment goals. Based in the Office of International Programs in Bozeman, Montana, this position combines recruitment strategy, admissions processing, and partnership management to attract and enroll international students. The role requires collaboration across campus and active engagement with prospective students, agents, partners, and alumni worldwide. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support international student recruitment and enrollment growth initiatives – Manage international recruitment agents and partner relationships – Coordinate recruitment contracts and commission processes – Maintain recruitment communications and records in the Reach database – Evaluate international and transfer student applications for admission – Guide prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment – Represent Montana State University at international recruitment events – Develop and implement regional recruitment plans – Analyze international market trends and recruitment funnel data – Issue initial I-20 documents – Process SEVIS transfers and record updates – Support international student orientation activities – Engage alumni and external partners to expand international enrollment REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience – Professional experience in admissions, recruitment, marketing, or international education – Strong written and verbal communication skills – Demonstrated relationship-building and partnership management ability – Ability to analyze data related to recruitment and enrollment trends – Willingness and ability to travel internationally – Eligibility to work in the United States, as the position is not eligible for sponsorship WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International Student Recruiters directly influence the diversity, global reach, and sustainability of university enrollment.
