OVERVIEW American Councils for International Education is seeking a full-time, temporary Participant Recruiter for Secondary School Programs in Europe, Eurasia, and the South Pacific. The role supports participant recruitment activities and serves as the program representative across the assigned region. Responsibilities include reviewing application materials, interviewing candidates, conducting testing, and maintaining recruitment records through secure, online systems. The position begins in September 2026 and continues through late December, with a possible extension until February 2027. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Attend an online training conference in September and an in-person conference in early October – Coordinate recruitment activities to support the timely and proper conduct of the competition – Review and evaluate application materials within established deadlines – Conduct interviews with semi-finalist candidates – Complete document and materials processing – Conduct testing in person or proctor online testing – Organize and participate in meetings with candidates and parents – Complete reporting related to finances and recruitment activities – Perform other duties as assigned – Work remotely on assigned tasks with specific deadlines and quotas – Maintain associated record keeping and reporting responsibilities – Travel extensively throughout the assigned region REQUIREMENTS – Ability to work full-time in a temporary position – Availability for long and non-standard work hours, including weekends – Ability to travel extensively throughout the region – Ability to review application materials through a secure, online platform – Ability to meet specific deadlines and quotas for assigned work – Ability to conduct interviews and testing activities – Ability to complete reporting and record keeping responsibilities – Ability to work in conjunction with program staff in the assigned country WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position supports international secondary school recruitment efforts by helping identify and evaluate qualified candidates across multiple regions. Accurate review of application materials, organized recruitment processes, and professional communication with participants and families contribute to effective program operations and informed participant selection.
