OVERVIEW The Director of International Admissions at the University of Colorado Boulder provides strategic leadership for international admissions and recruitment within a comprehensive higher education environment. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Admission and Precollege, this role oversees global enrollment strategy, admissions operations, and credential evaluation for international applicants. The position plays a central role in shaping institutional recruitment priorities and strengthening the university’s global reach. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead global enrollment strategy for international admissions – Develop and execute a comprehensive international recruitment strategy – Oversee international admissions operations and credential evaluation – Improve yield and enrollment outcomes using analytics and market intelligence – Expand the university’s presence in key global markets – Strengthen international partnerships – Build and lead a high-performing admissions team – Report to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Admission and Precollege – Travel as required for recruitment activities REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree – At least six years of progressive leadership experience in collegiate admissions – Experience in international recruitment – Experience with application review – Experience with credential evaluation – Strong leadership skills – Strong communication skills – Cultural fluency – Experience with Slate or similar admissions systems – Ability to obtain or hold a passport – Preferred: 10 or more years of relevant experience – Preferred: Significant leadership responsibility in admissions or a related higher education function WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role directly influences how international students access higher education opportunities at a major public research university.
