OVERVIEW The Associate Director for the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Minnesota supports the daily operations and academic activities of the center. This role combines administrative leadership, student advising, outreach programming, curriculum coordination, and community engagement responsibilities. The position also works closely with Learning Abroad programs and the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University to support student study abroad opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Oversee daily operations for the Center for Jewish Studies – Manage communications and outreach programming – Coordinate conferences and lectures – Supervise outreach staff – Support fundraising activities – Manage scholarships and curriculum systems – Provide advising for students – Serve as liaison to Learning Abroad programs – Collaborate with the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University – Facilitate student study abroad opportunities – Support undergraduate curriculum management – Engage with the broader community on behalf of the center – Teach two undergraduate courses annually REQUIREMENTS – Experience supporting outreach programming – Ability to manage curriculum systems and advising responsibilities – Capacity to coordinate conferences and lectures – Ability to supervise staff and support fundraising activities – Experience working with students and academic programs – Ability to collaborate with Learning Abroad programs and international partners – Teaching ability for undergraduate studies courses WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position supports academic programming, student engagement, and international learning opportunities within jewish studies.
