OVERVIEW American University is seeking an Associate Director of International Admissions in Washington, District of Columbia. This role supports leadership and oversight for Shorelight English Pathway Programs and serves as a key contact between the Shorelight Boston Office, the International Accelerator Program, American Collegiate Program, and International Direct Entry program. The position focuses on international admissions operations, applicant evaluation, recruitment activities, and collaboration with campus and global partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support oversight and leadership of Shorelight English Pathway Programs – Serve as the primary contact between Shorelight Boston Office and university international program partners – Coordinate activities related to the International Accelerator Program – Support the American Collegiate Program and International Direct Entry program – Work closely with International Student and Scholar Services – Recruit and evaluate international applicants – Conduct international outreach and recruitment travel – Review undergraduate admissions applications – Coordinate enrollment events – Manage relationships with global partners and campus offices REQUIREMENTS – Experience supporting international admissions activities – Ability to evaluate applicants for undergraduate admissions consideration – Ability to coordinate international recruitment and outreach efforts – Ability to collaborate with campus offices and external global partners – Ability to support enrollment-related events and program coordination WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position plays an important role in helping international applicants navigate the admissions process and connect with academic opportunities at an american university.
