OVERVIEW Rice University is seeking a Rice360 Global Health Post-Baccalaureate Fellow through the Rice360 Institute for Global Health Technologies. This role focuses on supporting the development of low-cost healthcare technologies designed for underserved communities in global settings. The fellow will contribute to research, project coordination, prototype development, and implementation activities connected to health technologies and experiential education initiatives. The position includes collaboration with clinicians, researchers, and external stakeholders while supporting projects in low-resource environments, including work connected to sub-Saharan Africa. The role also contributes to global partnerships and Rice360 initiatives such as NEST360. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support development of low-cost healthcare technologies for underserved communities globally – Conduct research activities related to global health technologies – Assist with prototype development – Perform data collection and analysis – Support project management activities – Collaborate with clinicians and external stakeholders – Support implementation of health technologies in low-resource settings – Contribute to international experiential education programs – Participate in Rice360 global partnerships initiatives including NEST360 REQUIREMENTS – Interest in global health technologies – Ability to support research and prototype development activities – Ability to contribute to data collection and analysis – Capacity to collaborate with clinicians and external stakeholders – Ability to support project management responsibilities – Interest in development work focused on underserved and low-resource communities WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This fellowship supports the advancement of health technologies designed to improve care in low-resource environments.
