OVERVIEW Miami University (Ohio) is seeking an Education Abroad Advisor to support education abroad programs and global learning initiatives for students. This role focuses on advising students, faculty, and staff on study abroad and related opportunities while supporting compliance with university policies and program processes. The position also contributes to outreach, orientation, exchange program coordination, and programming connected to international education experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Advise students on study abroad and education opportunities – Support education abroad programs, including study abroad and away, global academic service learning, and international internships – Work with students and faculty to ensure compliance with university policies – Identify appropriate abroad opportunities for students – Prepare students for immersion and global experience programs – Develop and offer opportunities for returning students to reflect on and apply their study experience – Advocate on campus for global immersion experience and education initiatives – Support the mission of Global Initiatives – Manage education abroad programs and applications – Coordinate outreach and orientation activities for students – Manage exchange programs – Collaborate with academic departments on course equivalencies – Develop programming for returned study abroad students REQUIREMENTS – Experience advising students, faculty, and staff on education abroad opportunities – Ability to support compliance with university policies and program requirements – Ability to manage education abroad programs and applications – Ability to coordinate outreach and orientation activities – Experience collaborating with academic departments on course equivalencies – Ability to support exchange programs and returned student programming – Commitment to global education and student experience initiatives WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Education abroad programs help students expand their academic, cultural, and professional experience through global learning opportunities.
