OVERVIEW The University of Oregon is seeking candidates for Pro Tem research assistant, associate, and postdoctoral opportunities within the Division of Global Engagement (DGE). These roles support internationally oriented research centers and initiatives connected to global engagement across the university. Positions may contribute to research, curriculum development, technology projects, and collaboration with multiple academic and administrative units. The division supports a broad range of global and engagement activities through units including International Student and Scholar Services, Global Education Oregon, and the Global Studies Institute. Candidates may work on projects related to second language acquisition, international and area studies, and the dissemination of research findings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide research support for internationally oriented research centers and initiatives – Contribute to second language acquisition research projects – Support global classroom technology projects – Assist with curriculum development for international and area studies – Coordinate with stakeholders connected to global engagement initiatives – Participate in dissemination of research outcomes and findings – Collaborate with units including International Student and Scholar Services – Support initiatives connected to Global Education Oregon – Engage with projects associated with the Global Studies Institute REQUIREMENTS – Experience or interest in research support – Ability to contribute to global engagement initiatives – Interest in internationally oriented research activities – Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across programs and units – Experience or interest in curriculum development for international and area studies – Ability to support dissemination of research projects WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Roles within the Division of Global Engagement help strengthen international collaboration, research, and academic engagement across the university environment.
